Create Targeted FEDERAL Email Alerts

In Tax News Email Settings, you can create multiple, customized news alerts for Federal Tax issues. Target your news to specific practice areas and authorities covered and even add custom search terms.

  1. Check the box for Federal Tax, as shown above.

  2. Click Configure News.

  3. You can choose to receive All Federal Tax News, or Targeted News.

  4. Under Targeted News, you can select one or more Practice Areas and Authorities Covered.

  5. Enter a specific search term, if desired.

  6. Type a name for the customized Federal Tax alert. 

  7. Click Add.

Create Targeted STATE Email Alerts

CCH AnswerConnect allows you to receive all state tax news developments. However, if you do not need every news story from across the United States, you can customize your news feed by state and by tax type.

First, open any news story and click on:

When the dialog box opens, make sure that your email address is correct. Click on the STATE tab. 

  1. Check the box for State News.

  2. Click Configure Jurisdictions & Tax Types.

  3. Select one or more Jurisdictions and Tax Types.

  4. Enter a specific search term, if desired.

  5. Type a name for the customized State Tax alert. 

  6. Click Add.

Please allow 48 hours for your updated and customized Tax News email to arrive.
